Torts can arise in a wide range of situations, and rules on liability, damage calculation, standard of proof etc. are very different depending on the event causing the damage. For some businesses there is a strict liability for torts incurred, while in other cases it is required that the person who caused the injury is guilty of a criminal offense for liability to arise.

Examples of situations where Nordic Law has extensive experience:

  • intrusion damage / market value reduction due to infrastructure projects
  • flood damages
  • environmental damages
  • financial loss as a result of breach of contract
