Monique Carden
Monique started with us in September 2009. She has worked at law firms since 1994 and now mainly deals with issues concerning compensation, insurance and property law. She helps companies and private individuals in tort law disputes with insurance companies and has extensive experience of litigations in court. She is a member of the Tort Compensation Counsil, which consists of lawyers and attorneys in Sweden who work to improve conditions for private individuals affected by personal injury after a major trauma. In this capacity she has drawn up a statement of opinion on behalf of the Swedish Bar Association concerning the issue of insurance companies' right of access to patient's journals.
Monique also often works with complicated property legislation issues and just reccently was awarded a ruling from the Swedish Supreme Court concerning estate agencies' right to commission in the event of property deals being revoked. She has extensive experience of disputes concerning contructions and defects in properties.
Monique is a member of the association Öresundsadvokater, an association consisting of Danish and Swedish lawyers who work to facilitate the possibility of running law firms across the Danish-Swedish border.
Alongside her work as a lawyer, she enjoys spending time with her family and is an active member of the Ladies' Circle, which is a charitable organization. In her sparetime she enjoys horseback riding, plays golf and is an avid skier.
Monique works from the Malmö office and is an expert in compensation law, property law and general business law.
